Title: Carrie Soto is Back
Author: Taylor Jenkins Reid
Genre: Historical Fiction
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Taylor Jenkins Reid is back! Her newest novel about tennis star’s Carrie Soto return to the court. We have met Carrie Soto before, as a vengeful mistress in Malibu Rising. In this new stage of Carrie’s life, her longstanding record is being challenged by a new, younger woman. Hence- Carrie Soto is Back.
Honestly, I loved this book and I’m really not sure why?! I know nothing about tennis, and after reading a whole book about it- I still know nothing. But somehow it held my attention! Carrie’s development throughout the story was deep and I loved to see it! It was so odd- throughout the story, I thought everything was pretty shallow and straightforward until the last third of the book. It really sold it for me!
Overall, not my favorite one of TJR’s stories but always worth the read!
