I want to know where you like to buy your books! There are so many unique settings to find books, and I love to explore them!! Personally, I find it easiest to find books at Barnes & Noble (props to their marketing people). However, when I already have an idea of what I’m looking for, I love a good used bookstore or even the library! Here is an overview of some of my favorite places to find books!

• Barnes & Noble- If I am looking for a new release or just want to browse, Barnes & Noble is my go-to! I prefer to avoid new hardback books due to the cost (unless it’s one I absolutely have to have, because duh), but there is such a large selection of paperbacks at Barnes & Noble that I never leave disappointed. B&N also frequently has BOGO 50% off some of their “favorite picks”, so I always try to utilize that deal if possible. I also always make sure to check out the Booktok table and the paperback new releases!

• Used Book Stores- I don’t get to go to Half Priced Books or other used bookstores very often, but I love spending time searching the shelves for treasures! Honestly, most of the time I will leave a used bookstore empty handed. It’s difficult for me to find the kind of books I want without the obvious organization of a store like Barnes & Noble. But I do love exploring new stores and always advocate for supporting small businesses!

• Public Libraries- USE YOUR LOCAL LIBRARY! I have been pleasantly surprised by how many new releases and popular books my library has. They also put on lots of different kinds of events- lots of these are for kids, but they also host discussions and author events! I haven’t been to one yet but will let you know how it goes when I do. I love going to the library as a change of scenery when studying, and then I can explore and pick out a new book as a reward. And the best part- I’m supporting the community without spending any money!

• Blackwell- So, I have not actually made any purchases from Blackwell Books. But I am so intrigued by it and definitely plan to get some things from there! They are a large bookseller in the UK, and as such sell all books with the UK covers! I don’t know why, but sometimes I think UK covers are just all around better than ours haha.
