Hello everyone! My name is Shyanne- I’m so excited that you decided to stop by my blog! I wanted to use this platform to share two of my favorite things- books and band-aids! (Medicine, technically) I’m currently a physician assistant student in Galveston, Texas getting ready to start my clinical year. I feel like I have finally found myself and my passions in this last, most challenging, year of my life. I was an avid reader as a child and teenager, but I lost interest throughout high school and college. I cycled through hobbies and jobs until finally arriving at PA school, when time for hobbies became non-existent. Even so, in my heart and soul I knew that I had made it to where I was meant to be. Somewhere between thriving and barely surviving through my didactic year of PA school (because somehow I was doing both), I rediscovered my love of reading. I’m not sure if it was bookstagramers that inspired me to pick up a book, or if it was the craving to read something that wouldn’t gross out or terrify the average person ~thank you dermatology~, but reading has once again become an obsession. I want to use this blog to talk about my favorite books with you, reflect on my journey to becoming a physician assistant, and to hear your thoughts and opinions on these things along the way! I cannot wait to go on this journey with you- stay tuned for all the fun!
