I chose this book for my BOTM after hearing such great things about it! It was super cute. It wasn’t the most riveting novel, and I’ve read swoonier romances this year, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
Hannah Brooks is an unassuming, completely ordinary-seeming woman. She is also a bad-ass bodyguard for the world’s elite. She is obsessed with her job and prides herself on being the best of the best. She has never turned down a job. Until, that is, she is assigned to protect Jack Stapleton while he takes care of his mother in good ole’ Houston, Texas. That’s because she hates Texas- and she has to post as Jack’s girlfriend in order to blend in while she guards him. Will the real life Jack ruin the fantasy she has made up in her head? Or will he blow it away?
This was a super fun and light-hearted read. Definitely recommend!
