Review!- THe Siren

The Siren

Title: The Siren by Katherine St. John

Genre: Fiction

Keywords: Revenge, Hollywood, Fake Identity, Multiple Perspective, Dual Timelines

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Stars

This book was so different and interesting! There was a lot of depth that I didn’t expect from the fun, colorful cover. I definitely didn’t expect all of the things that happen at the end; I wouldn’t call them huge twists but there are definitely some shocking events!

Felicity Fox is the newly hired assistant of renowned Hollywood actress Stella Rivers. She manages her appointments, her medications, her dog…and now she has accompanied her to the idyllic island of St. Genesius for a shoot. This particular shoot, however, involves Stella’s ex-husband and his son, the elite Powers men. Stella needs this job; her very public mental breakdown several years ago has made her an outcast in the world of Hollywood. Felicity needs this job for a very different reason- revenge.

This story has two main narrators- Felicity (above) and Taylor Wasserman, a producer on the film. I definitely connected more to Felicity’s story, but Taylor is a refreshing and strong main character. I think the plot of her love interest is a little unnecessary, but overall she is a great addition to the novel!

I recommend this to anyone looking for a light thriller, something in the world of Hollywood starlets, or just something out of the ordinary. It has a little of everything- romance, mystery, and a lot of drama!
