After hearing all the hustle and bustle about this book, I knew I had to snatch it up! This is a multiple POV thriller about Jess who escapes to Paris to live with her brother. Upon arrival, she can’t find her brother Ben, and the story unfolds from there.
HIGHLIGHTS: This book will truly keep you guessing until the end. There’s absolutely no way I could have predicted the full story of Ben’s disappearance! No one likes a book that’s predictable, so this one is a gem.
LOWLIGHTS: At first, I was extremely confused on who was who. The chapters can be fairly short and it switches between four different people’s perspectives. From other critics, I’ve heard that you have to get through about the first half of the book until it gets “good”. But for it to be a good thriller, there has to be some set up. They can’t dive into the good stuff right off the bat because then there’s no context!
Overall, I think this was a super enjoyable read. I also think this isn’t a “girly” book by any means so in my opinion everyone would enjoy it.
