I am currently in the middle of week 3 out of 4 of my very first clinical rotation- Family Medicine! In my program, our 12 rotations are broken up into 4 blocks of 3 separate rotations. Each block focuses on a broad, important concept that we need to know. My first block is Primary Care and I will have rotations in ENT (my primary care elective) and Mental Health as my other two rotations after family medicine. As a PA student on rotations, I will work alongside and with PAs, surgeons, medical residents, and other types of providers.
I thought it would be fun to walk you through what my day is like as a PA student in each of my rotations! I’ll talk about what my schedule is like, what I do, what I’m learning, and how I’m studying. Tell what you want YOU want to know about life as a clinical year PA student. Happy studying!
